WE WILL BE POURING:  

2017 APERTURE CHENIN BLANC – 100% Chenin Blanc – This beautiful Chenin Blanc, perfect for pairing with fresh seafood,  has a light honey-straw color and an aromatic array of floral notes with a core of stone fruits.  The palate is a mixture of fresh peaches and Asian pear, with a minerality that is tied together by bright, natural acidity. Barrels give this wine weight and texture without covering up the beautiful tropical flavors, leaving you with a bright, fresh finish.    

2016   APERTURE  RIGHT BANK RED BLEND –  52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 11% Malbec, 7% Cabernet Franc – The year 2016 was an excellent one for grapes in the northern part of Sonoma County. Our cooler vineyard sites had the unique advantage of a long and moderate growing season. With this mellow, even weather, our fruit ripened gently. The result: deep flavors with complex, integrated tannins, and lively characteristics that make this vintage one of our best.

2016   APERTURE  CABERNET SAUVIGNON – 93% Cabernet Sauvignon 7%  Merlot – Four hillside Cabernet vineyard sites, all with mineral-rich volcanic soils, are always the first focus of this blend. In 2016, our Merlot harvest was particularly incredible, yielding stunning acidity with full and silky tannins. It was a perfect partner to the vivid fruit profile of our Alexander Valley Cabernet vineyards. This year’s blend of the two achieves an uncommon, sophisticated balance.

2015 APERTURE DEL RIO VINEYARD CABERNET SAUVIGNON – 100%  Cabernet Sauvignon – The vintage was defined by the fourth consecutive year of considerable drought in Sonoma County. 2015 gave us a cool May, which caused uneven fruit set and led to significantly lower yields. Although overall production was down almost 40%, the fruit we did harvest was wildly concentrated and full of life. From one of the steepest hillside vineyards at the top of Chalk Hill Road in the southeast corner of Alexander Valley, this exquisite site creates incredibly gorgeous wines with delicate, soft tannins that melt into the juicy dark fruits of this powerful Cabernet. Blackberry, blueberry pie, and lavender gain in concentration as the wine builds to a bright, long finish.
